Martha Meshberg paints in acrylic, water colour and pen & ink. She also uses her personal computer to generate graphic effects with some of her original photography. She has had no formal training.
Her artistic expression is motivated by her deep love of nature and it's infinite beauty. As well, her devotion to the writings of The Báb, Bahá 'u' lláh, 'Abdu'l-Bahá and many Holy Texts of the world, inspire and deepen her work.
When studying Martha's paintings, searching eyes will discover hidden foms and ethereal, secret worlds; a dream-like canvas woven from the fabric of the Spirit.
"Marty" is also a singer, poet and musician.
In her earlier years, she performed professionally with The "Beers Family " Traditional Singers and a Husband/Wife team from the late 1950's through the mid 1980's, traveling world wide on Cultural Exchange Tours, Concert Stage, Television & Radio and at Music Festivals, Schools and Universities throughout the United States, Canada, India, South America and the Caribbean Islands.
She has recorded with Columbia Masterworks, Folk Legacy, Biograph, Philo, and Fox Hollow Productions.
Though Marty no longer performs, music and her memories of the rich rewards of travel through-
out the world among many cultures, is one of the motivating factors of her art and poetry. She is currently preparing a volume of poetry for publication.
